It has been the long-standing Memorial Day tradition of the NCLBL to gather as a community at the Veterans’ Cemetery and honor Veterans by planting flags on their final resting places. This has always been a deeply-felt experience for the League, from its youngest players to its oldest coaches. Our Flag Day tradition is on hiatus again this year due to COVID-19. Instead, for Memorial Day 2021, our players stood for Team photos with flags, and spoke with coaches about the importance of Veterans’ service, in our families and our communities.
